2012 Cheque Presentation to the Royal British Legion, Kesgrave And District Branch

On Saturday 23rd February members of the Copdock Classic Motorcycle Club presented the Kesgrave and District branch of The Royal British Legion with a cheque for £2,000 as a donation to the Poppy Appeal.

In presenting the cheque Club Vice Chairman Paul Finch said, "We are proud to support the Poppy Appeal and hope to do so again in the future. Organising the Bike Show is no easy task but being able to support charities such as this makes it all is worthwhile."

Kesgrave Branch Chairman and Poppy Appeal Organiser, Don Whinney said, "We are truly thankful to the Copdock Club for this donation to the Poppy Appeal. It means that the amount collected by the branch this year is over £29,000, quite an achievement for such a small branch. Although in our twilight years a number of our members are keen motorcyclists, one having being a dispatch rider in Europe during WWII, and so it gives us great pleasure to accept this donation from the Copdock Classic Motorcycle Club."
